Holiday Parties

'Tis the season for holiday parties!  For many, this includes work and/or school parties as well.  Here are a few very valuable tips to keep in mind!

Rue Part 1

I hope everyone had a lovely holiday!  This week and next I am in the midst of finals, grading papers, and meetings galore, so I apologize in advance if my posting and commenting is a bit sparse. ;) 

Of course the new issue of Rue lived up to all of my expectations, and there were so many stories that I felt like I needed to share!  This was such a treat to devour as soon as I returned from the wilderness.

This centerpiece is so glamourous, and I love any use of mint julep cups.

And the story on Katie Ermilio was page after page of drool-worthy style.

I am Thankful for the Royal Romance

Last night I stayed up waaaay too late to watch TLC's story on Kate Middleton and Prince William. 

I enjoyed learning more about Kate's family and background.  I think Kate has a great sense of style, and liked seeing her evolve over the years.  I love many of Kate's outfit choices, whether dressed casually:

Or dressed up. (Love the pink, of course!)

And of course the British do equestrian style like no one else.  Love all that tweed!
