I was going to wait. . .

But I wanted to share that I am joining the Junior League!  Last night I went to a recruitment event at an adorable wine bar and got to meet a few other women interested in the league as well as the women who run the Provisional Program.  (I also will have to go back to the wine bar, as the appetizers and patio were divine.)

I also wanted to add a special thank you to Persians and Pulitzer, as I have wanted to join Junior League for some time now, but thought that it may be too difficult while I do my thesis this year.  She was right, there is a lot of flexibility for many chapters, and I think it'll be a great "break" from all my schoolwork.  I am so excited to start!

I know many of my favorite bloggers are in Junior League--are you in it? Is there any advice you'd want to share with someone new to the league?

  2. Aww YAY! Good for you! I'm so glad that you decided to join! I'm really excited about it to. Maybe one of your provisional members will be a fellow grad student. But if not, you can always complain to me, I feel your pain. LOL
