Met Ball

Last night was the annual MET Ball at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Starting off the night, Andy Cohen tweeted this picture of himself and SJP in McQueen.  Wow.

And the front of the dress.

It was a big night for "Brits" and "faux Brits" alike.  Feel free to play Spot the British designer and/or starlet.

Colin Firth co-hosted (here with his wife Livia).

Madonna in Stella McCartney.

Not surprisingly, Sarah Burton (in McQueen of course) looked fabulously happy, and her skin looks divine.

Salma looked phenomenal in McQueen (but I always think she looks fabulous).

Most of my fashion favorites were there.

Ashley Olson (in vintage Dior) and Christian Louboutin.

And her sister, Mary Kate, in vintage Givenchy.  (And those jewels?! Van Cleef & Arpels and David Web.)
Of course Nicole Richie wore vintage with her House of Harlow 1960 jewels.

Many stars looked gorgey as always.

Kate Hudson was glowing in Stella McCartney.

As did Jessica Alba in Ralph Lauren.

Ashley Greene in Donna Karan.

Gisele (in McQueen) and Tom Brady.

Gwynnie in Stella.

Diane Kruger in Jason Wu.

Lea Michele in Escada.
Dying over the green color of Kerry Washington's gown.

J. Hud in Vera Wang.

Blake Lively (obviously in Chanel) with Karl Lagerfeld.

Claire Danes in Calvin Klein.

And Penelope Cruz (with Oscar de la Renta) always makes my best dressed list.

Jennifer Lopez wore Gucci, and although not everyone may be a fan, I do like to see some "risks" on the red carpet, especially at such a fashionable event.

And Christina Ricci with  Zac Posen.

And of course we'd expect nothing less than risks from Rihanna in Stella McCartney.

Normally I'm a huge Jay & Beyonce (in Pucci) fan, but most people panned this look.  What do you think?

I literally have to stop myself from posting waaaay more photos.  Which stars were your favorites?  What or who would you want to wear to the Met Ball?

  10. I don't really follow celebrity gossip and such much, but I LOVE seeing red carpet outfits! My favorite was Gisele's and I think SJP was a bombshell in that dress!
