I am honored to have so many wonderful friends in my life. When it came time to ask my besties to be in my bridal party, I knew I wanted to do something a bit more me than calling and popping the question.
First, I wanted to get pretty cards to enclose in the packages. I found wonderful ones on etsy.
I bought these from Jenuine Paper on Etsy.
I already have my mom collecting vintage hankies for the wedding (which I may monogram with our initials and or the date if I'm feeling super ambitious) for the ceremony. I am known as a crier, so as a partial nod to that and our vintage style, we're doing a basket for happy tears that our guests can take prior to the ceremony. I wanted something special for my girls, so I bought hankies that were monogrammed with their initial for each of them.
I used navy and white tissue (our wedding colors) with silver star garland and lots of ribbon. I stamped large gift tags with a new chandelier stamp and wrote the messages on the other side.
All my packages, ready to go to my friends all over the country! I loved decorating them all with my Lilly stickers and labels.
I can't wait to be surrounded by my amazing friends during all of the wedding preparations and festivities. Did you ask your friends in any special way? If you've been a bridesmaid or MOH already, what was your favorite part of your special role?
Seriously the cutest packages ever! Love the navy and white colors for your wedding!
ReplyDeleteI sent mine a little card that I need to post on my blog sometime soon!
You are so cute. When I get married one day you can come up with creative ways to ask my bridesmaids :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative!!!! How sweet are these??
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question...... I got married at the court house:) Just celebrated my 19th anniversary last week. I want to have "something" on our 20th though. At least a picture, LOL!!
So, so sweet! I love this idea. I actually saw these cards the other day. One of my friends had one on her fridge--not sure if they were exactly alike or not, but very similar. I cannot wait to be the MOH when my sister gets married...if that ever happens. ;)
ReplyDeleteAhhh I didn't know you were going to do a post on these! Best way to ask a bestie to be a bridesmaid! Not that I'm partial because I'm one of your bridesmaids or anything...
ReplyDeletethis is the sweetest! xo
ReplyDeleteThis is just darling!
ReplyDeleteI adore each little detail.
Love and Hugs,
