One Year From Today

On May 25, 2013, SHS and I will be standing in front of so many of our most precious and valued friends and family members becoming Mister and Missus!  It's been an amazing five years, and I cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together.

The best really is yet to come.

Monday Motivation

This is a short week as I'm taking off early for a trip to SHS' family cabin in Wisconsin.  I can't wait for a few long days of no cell phone reception, s'mores, and crazy curly hair (sharing a bathroom generally means no straightening/curling and I'm still trying to live down wearing make-up to the Friday Fish Fry).  Here's to a productive couple days of work and a glorious trip to the homeland.

Gold, Chandeliers, and Vintage Charm

Lately I have really been in a cleaning, renovating, decorating mood.  This gorgeous home from House Beautiful has me itching to find some new chandeliers and paint some old mirrors gold.  Sit back, grab a tea, and imagine coming home to this home everyday after work.

And I've seen this picture pinned a bazillion times.  Someday I will have a hall like this.

And of course, there's that closet obsession of mine.  Here's another to add to the dream file.

Last Night at the Met

Last night was one of my favorite nights in fashion--the Met Ball.  This year you could even watch the live stream on vogue.com!  I just adore imagining what I'd wear if I got to go some day as well as lust after my favorite celebrity fashions.

Ever since finding this song, I am pretty Lana Del Rey obsessed.  This is also probably the only night of the year that someone can pull off a cape.  (Shown with Mr. Altuzarra.)

I really adore the light purple of Dakota's Louis Vuitton.

And since last night was a Gossip Girl night, you could get a double dose of dear ol' Mr. Bass if you also saw him strut the red carpet.

And of course, Chace didn't want to miss a good party either.

As the Met is definitely a chance for high fashion, Cate Blanchett's feather McQueen was a perfect choice.

I've Joined the Club

There are tons of girls at my gym who always look great while working out.  Perfectly coordinated outfits of Lululemon and bright Nike Frees.  This club of women who look like they want to be at the gym have always fascinated me, but with my record of four gym trips last week I decided I needed to up my workout attire.  Enter yesterday's trip to Lululemon, the store many bloggers have already found light-ages ago.

And I have now been converted to the dark side with the purchase of these leggings.  I kind of never want to take them off.

And an real, supportive, cute, long-enough tank?  Almost too good to be true.

Next on my list is this gorgey bliss bag in mint.

And this new love of mine is totally worth it if I continue to be excited to go to the gym.  Right?! ;)
