I know I am very fortunate to have a "dressing room." I live in a two-bedroom apartment, and the second bedroom was originally going to be my personal girly space. It started as an air mattress on the floor, and has come to include a very full garment rack, couch, nightstand, dresser, and lots of pictures and lamps. This room could be heaven, if only there was enough room for my clothes.
You see, I have a bit of a shopping problem. And clothes have so much sentimental value, that I have a VERY difficult time donating them, even if I haven't worn them in awhile. I know that many experts say that if it's been six months, toss it, but I have so many fun dresses that're just WAITING for a special event with tags on them, and these lovelies have often come to my rescue when I suddenly don't have a thing to wear.
So I brought up my three LARGE storage tubs up from my basement storage, and my goal is to go through them all before my big Valentine's Day party on Saturday.
I got on a bit of a roll last night after seeing Crazy Heart (really good movie, by the way!), and started cleaning the office (I also keep waaaaaaaaaay too many papers). I always get into the mood to clean when it's just not the right time--like at midnight. So today, I already started doing laundry, and am attempting to make my "closet" look a little bit more like Jenna Lyons'.
